Is Rest the Answer in Order to Resolve a Foot Injury in a Young Ballet Dancer?

May 26, 2019

In today’s blog we are discussing dance injuries. Often dancers are asked to take time off in order to resolve an injury. From our experience, rest is not enough and when the dancer returns to the stress of the activity, the injury often returns. Today, we’re going to share with you a case where an eleven year old ballet dancer suffered from foot pain for over a year after consultations and treatment from five various healthcare providers.

With the out of the box treatment provided here at missing link, we were able to get the patient back to dancing in two sessions with no reports of pain and improved mechanics with dance.

Please listen to the informative message that Dr. Heletsi has to share about misunderstood injuries with regards to the performing arts and foot pain. If you know anyone who has been suffering from an injury for a prolonged amount of time, this is the video for you!

Be sure to watch until the end as there may be a few exercises that may be beneficial to you.
